I can't remember exactly how I set it up, but I have a custom HB view/page that lets me see annotations to my ideas in reverse chronological order. I can, with one click on the left side of this screen, see the date of the most recent comment. |
(Try going to "Recent" page or even the default page you get when you click the croissant logo, and then click on the little "edit" near the top.) |

[-] I'm a firm disbeliever in mailing lists... despite, or possibly because of, having worked on one of the first commercial directed snail-spam projects. |
But a View sounds interesting: way to catch up after a couple weeks off. |
it would be opt-in, obviously |
Well, it won't email itself to you but here's your view [simonj]. [link] |

Hey, I bet an app could give a notification... |

Call me a purist or whatever, but I like HB the way it is. |
I like everything except for the lack of subscripts and
superscripts. |
... and the ability to display Greek characters, Egyptian heiroglyphics, Japanese, Chinese, Cuneiform, Rongo-Rongo and Cretan Linear A. |
Is that coastal or hill Rongo-Rongo? |

I would love to see this too. And for recent additions. I don't
understand why others here want to prevent you from
getting an email, but there seems to be very strong
resentment towards this type of innovation. |
By the time I understand what that is it will be too late. |
An hour ago I was thinking about it, because I found
myself uselessly checking back to see if there are any
comments to my ideas... It would be more convenient than
setting up specialized cron-jobs. [simonj], opt-in. |
On the other hand, I don't want HB to be "yet another
distraction in my mailbox", it has to be something different. |
