I don't know when [jutta]'s birthday is, and the official Halfbakery anniversary is a ways off. But my birthday is today. |

Thanks, all. The kind words and thoughts are very greatly appreciated. I came up with the song some time ago, and was going to wait for the Halfbakery's birthday, but decided to go ahead, just because it was my birthday. I really didn't expect so much attention and advice. I spent the day with family, and had a lovely time, thank you. |

Hanging out here for a bit was good, too. That's what I wanted to thank [jutta] for. |

Factoid: The "Happy Birthday" song we all know was originally "Good Morning To You", which is why the words don't fit. |
|
|
"Good Morning To All" actually, and the melody is under copyright in the USA until 2030. But don't worry, the Song Police won't raid any 'murrican kid's birthday party unless it's on live TV. |

In 89 years of US copyright law, there have been 122 years of extension. Hooray. |
