There are millions of cheese lovers out there. Cheddar, Swiss, American, Brie, Coolea, Monterey Jack, Colby, Feta, Parmasean, etc. etc. etc.
They make cheese dips, spreads, fillings, snacks, cubes, wheels, logs and balls. There are cheese crackers, nips, sticks, curls and even Whiz.
But until now, there's never been a Cheese flavored beverage.
I think with so many cheese lovers out there, this would be a killer idea.
I'd say cheddar or American would be the best to market in the U.S. Aged, mild cheddar, corn syrup, water, citric acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate.
It's a simple recipe. Carbonate, bottle and sell. People would go nuts for it.
Imagine it's a hot summer day. You come in from mowing the lawn, sweat on your brow, your nose itching from the flying grass clippings. Your throat is dry and you need refreshment.
You reach into the fridge and pull out...."ba ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba ba, The Joy of Coolea..." a rich, fizzy, cheesy cool drink. It tickles your nose and your tastebuds. You are totally refreshed and invigorated.
We need a line of cheese sodas.

       There's a soda drink available in Switzerland that is about 30-35% whey. It looks a bit like gingerale, and tastes similar, but I think a bit better. Can't remember the name.

       Conceived and discussed a similar idea years ago... we came up with a name: "Fromey" - fromage/foamy. We had a few ideas for advertising as well, but ultimately we decided to go with product placement instead (make it feel more like part of the landscape than a strange carbo-dairy nooism) - having several of the main characters in a classic work of literature drink and recommend the stuff - the book was "Ethan Frome(y)" by Edith Wharton.

       i've seen a couple dairy based drinks in the US... for a short while our local supermarket carried a line, that was basically carbonated milk + peach or pear juice. i hated it, but my girlfriend loved it.
