Well, ballroom dancing is (allegedly) a competitive sport. I'm just worried what it'll do to their lovely hair and clothes. Spent the past 3 months sewing on 15000 sequins only to be tossed harshly into a blue mat. |

As you have clearly detected, technobadger, judo is merely the 'toned down for children' version of that most ferocious dance, The Tango. |

Perhaps all judo competitions should be performed to tango music, with extra points being awarded for artistic interpretation. |

Sounds a bit like Capoeira, a fight-like dance developed by Brazilian slaves because they weren't allowed to practice fighting. |
