Fruit on the bottom, fruit mixed in, so many choices appear in the yogurt section of your local supermarket. The simple solution is to place the fruit filling that is commonly found in yogurt in the middle of the cup. This is an excellent idea for many reasons. Firstly, it eliminates the unnessesary
spilling of yogurt when trying to mix in that pesky fruit on the bottom stuff and it prevents any precious fruit from being stuck to the sides of the cup, as it commonly does. Also, if you prefer less fruit you can always scoop out a little of the filling and dispose of it quickly and easily. This, as you may already know, is an impossible option when consuming yogurt with the fruit mixed in. Enjoy your fruit in the middle!

Are there now yoghurts which have the Fruit "on the side" - or is that the sawdust or whatever? |

Convince the yogurt company to put their product upside down in the shop shell. That way you can have fruit on top of yogurt. Save you all the trouble. |

I'm grumbling only because I'm suppressing my personal preference of where to put the fruit -- now, the problem as I see it is to convince yogurt makers to pack their product in drum-style cans with two lids; thereby, make it cake to eat. |

But why do they separate the fruit in the first place? Surely the yogurt company's machinery can do a better job of mixing it than my spoon... so why did they start? as some kind of gimmick? cutting costs? |

Fruit on the bottom can have a different taste than pre-mixed. It depends on how much you stir it up. |

MODIFICATION BY THE BAKER: In response to phoenix's remarks, I present him with a fact that has been previously stated in the original idea. You would not want to buy the pre-mixed kind because of the large amounts of fruit that are placed in the cup. With my idea, it is much simpler to scoop out the extra fruit. This gives me another idea. Core O' Fruit Yogurt! This provides a more thorough distribution of fruit throughout the yogurt. |

If what you want is Low-Fruit Fruited Youghurt, why not just name the idea that? Or suggest the fruit come in a separate cup (attached to the lid?) so you can mix and match to your desire. You can have that idea, if you want it. |

when putting two gels or liquids in one cup and leaving them on the shelf wouldn't you have problems with one or the other being slightly heavier?
