The technology of *Touch Light* now in a toilet seat.
Batteries included.
This is useful for those who get up during the night to use the toilet and dont like bright lights turned on. I know if I have to see bright light during the night, I have a hard time falling back to sleep. So I
think the touch light technology would be a perfect addition for a toilet seat. As you sit down, the seat becomes illuminated just enough. When you get up, it shuts off. Simple. Now you just have to find your way back to your bedroom. Maybe touch light slippers

//I know if I have to see bright light during the night, I have a hard time falling back to sleep.//
I think that is something to do with the sudden transition from dark to light. I've found that it helps if you keep your eyes closed until after you turn the light on and then close them again before you turn the light off.
DrBob's surgery is now closed. That will be $100 please. Cash only. |

Two good ideas in one. Sadly both baked. |
This is not the same, though. The touch light is actually the toilet seat itself, not a light on the back of the cover. Don't you guys have those little touch lights that you press down and they go on?
Cool about the slippers, though!
Nor is it the same as glowing toilet water. |

What's the point of having the light come on after you've already sat down? You need to have light before then so you'll know the seat up/down status and be able to act accordingly. |
Still, a bun for bun-touch technology. |
...for seeing just a little. This isn't a seat-up/seat-down issue. Hence the title. Those other issues have been addressed in previous inventions.
I like bun-touch tech! haha
I have talked to other women about this idea and they really liked it. |
I'm with Noexit - surely you need to see
your way into the bathroom, or out of it
again, but what's to see while you're sitting
down? Or do women do something I'm not
aware of while peeing? |
I think this is more relevant to men, who
need to be able to aim. |
What [Noexit] and [MB] said. could you have some kind of touch sensitive doormat which turns on a very dim nightlight when you step on it? But that looses all of the good 'bun touch' tech |
You could link up several dim lights for your bathroom to switch on when you step on a pressure sensitive mat. Toilet seat, sink and shower rail seem like good options. |
//but what's to see while you're sitting down?//
I guess it's just a thing I have about *wanting to see a little bit* - like not being in total darkness or bright light and not having to look for a light switch whilst half asleep. I don't have a plug for a night light in my bathroom and just sitting down and having a bit of light suits my fancy! |
I can understand being able to see "just a little" while and especially after sitting. Build in a time delay cutoff switch to give yourself time to wash your hands and you're good to go! |

3-way toggle switch for the incandescent bathroom light:

... or the obvious: a penis-mounted laser-targetting system. |
