Mr iBad
Apples are NOT the only fruit
| |
Dressed in his very white, very glossy, shiny one-piece white coverall (although he has a protective shield over his face as it scratches so easily), Mr iBad is the doyen of techno-supervillians.
Plausible, yet ever so slightly sinister, his objective is to force everyone to conform to one rigid,
proprietary standard and do things his way - no deviation allowed.
Special powers ? He can empty people's bank accounts at a distance, and still get them to go on paying over the odds for basic services they could get elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. He has hypnotic powers that compel the gullible and vacuous to purchase his devices and fawn over them is a sad, drooly way.
Weaknesses ? Well, cost mainly ... but his suit gets damaged very easily and shows every little mark, costing a small fortune to replace. And if you want, or need to do something he doesn't like, or support, then - well, you can;t. You just can't, and that's that.
Allies ? He has an ally (but not a henchman or assistant) called Mike Roshit who shows up in successively shinier, glitterer new outfits, but is always the same old crap underneath - mostly padding and flim-flam, plus years-old stuff dragged around for no good reason. He admires Mr iBad, but knows in what he likes to think of as his soul he can never ever be that good. He's hampered by the fact that he's fat, clumsy, can't run fast, and falls over a lot.
Opponents ? Let's just call them The Android and The Penguin; plus every other right-thinking mortal on your planet ...

distantly related to a Mr W. Gates I suspect... |

You did read the fifth paragraph, didn't you ? Never mind, a bun is a bun ... |
I don't think you're really comparing apples and
Apples, are you? |
One's uninspiring, overpriced, saccharine-sweet and predictable, and the other's something that grows on a tree. |
Reminds me of the difference between a lawyer and
a stonefish: |
One's a slimy, deadly poisonous, disgusting bottom
feeder. The other one's a fish. |
And if you want, or need to do something he doesn't like, or support, then - well, you can;t. You just can't, and that's that. |
I greatly prefer this simple yes/no answer of full support or none to 'limited support' or 'somewhat feasible,' as long as the capability is reasonable, as blurred lines and half-levels of support are simply inefficient. Given my choice of starships, I would never choose the Millenium Falcon due to the amount of constant monkeying around you have to do with it to keep it running. |

More MacBashing. Bored now... [-] |

Now, see, I _would_ choose the Falcon, for almost exactly
the same reason. But I don't want a laptop like that, I want
a laptop that works. |
