Ever get warm socks fresh from the dryer and put them on ?

Did you smile ? I did.

Still the smell of your feet in the microwave might give one pause.

I imagined you would microwave the socks before you put them on, it would be less painful as well as less smelly.

Actually, nuking would dry out residual sweat and kill bacteria on a used pair, so they might not smell.

Until you put them back on your feet, that is: the nutrients would still be in the fibres.

There's a Suzy Homemaker's practical joke in there somewhere.

Working in a metal shop in winter and being the new guy I was laughed at for nuking my metal handling gloves(leather). It took about a half hour before everyone was doing it and became a regular thing.

That's a great story. It's fun being an innovator.
