On his very first assignment for the Ministry of Magic, Harry Potter - accompanied by Ginny Weasley - is traveling undercover, disguised as a muggle, when the car they are using breaks down.
Unwilling to use magic to effect repairs or summon assistance (not wanting to compromise their disguise) they
make their way to a nearby castle - which appears to be hosting a bizarre cosplay event - to use the telephone.
To avoid arousing suspicion, Harry and Ginny mingle with the guests, trying to work out what's going on.
Eventually they discover that the inhabitants of the castle are not mere harmless gamers, or even Dark wizards, but transsexual transvestite aliens, experimenting on humans with the intent of building artificial life from re-used body parts.
Eventually the humans escape, and the "castle" - which turns out to be a disguised spacecraft - takes off and leaves the planet.
Working title: "The Rookie Auror Picture Show".

Groans off the Richter scale... |

The Richter scale is now deprecated ... the current measure is the moment magnitude scale, or the Mercalli intensity scale (q.v.) |

When an advanced, partially-artificial, alien with
time-traveling experience with a fast, clokeable
spacecraft creates an idea about creating artificial
life and a disguised spacecraft, I get the odd sort of
feeling that I'm caught in some kind of time warp. |
