Catvertisement Door

cat flap that plays adverts

A friend of mine recently paid extra to get YouTube without adverts (the ones that everyone skips asap). He's very happy with his choice. I'm equally happy with mine - ie to pay nothing but still avoid the "ad's for products only morons would buy"

This brings me somehow to catflaps. (premium YouTube subscriber friend is getting one) It seems to me that he's the very type of person who is willing to pay more to get something that has a built in irritation feature in the "reduced price" product version, switched off.

I therefore propose the Catvertisement Door. Here's how it works:
Catflap is purchased and fitted free of charge.
It only opens for the specific cat linked to it via its embedded identity chip (note - this may be unknown technology in the USA, but it's common in the UK)
The downside to this free-fit catflap is that it plays a loud advert everytime cat goes in and out, and there's no turning it off or blocking it. This advert will also simultaneously be played on your TV, if you're watching it, and on any other device that receives a streaming signal. Any attempt at tampering with the device causes it to self destruct.

For a small monthly subscription fee, the Catvertisement feature can be silenced, and cat can come in and out as they please, free from the door flap triggering any noisy, annoying adverts.

As this would greatly reduce the cat population over time due to the irritation, I suspect 8th of 7 would approve.

I fail to follow your logic? Cats are not easily affected by adverts and will come and go undeterred.

//Any attempt at tampering with the device//.... duhhhh (unless you're a certain weird person dressed up as a cat sneaking in to try and impregnate a sofa) hahahaha
