COVID Test Tissues
Sneeze or blow your nose into tissues that change colors to indicate positive for COVID | |
Tissues infused with testing agent the same way tissues are
commonly infused with lotion.
Inspired by COVID testing masks that are already a thing, this
would be useful when you sneeze or have a runny nose,
symptoms
that might propt you to get tested.
You'd have to hold onto them for
a few minutes to note the
color
change but I think this could actually work.
The test chemical might remain inert until activated by
moisture. Alternatively, a spray could be applied that would
activate the test but the simpler one step system would
obviously be preferrable.

That being said, I don't believe these exist and I think they'd
fulfill a role that the existing
mask indicators don't. Especially now that manditory mask
mandates are getting phased out. |

As far as I understand it (which isn't saying much...), the "test
strip" is in an inert dry state in the "proper" testers, so it
should be able to be in the same state within (between the
plies) a tissue. To get the "2 stripes", I was thinking stripes of
the 2 reagents across the tissue, but multi-layered might
work better.
So we get tissue - T-stripe layer - C-stripe layer - T-stripe layer
- tissue
