seat belt extension

I googled "seat belt extension," and all I got was the type that had to be bolted in. What is needed is a seat belt extension that has that metal tongue on one in and a slot thing on the other.

A shield could be included that would slide down over the bottom part to prevent it from being inadvertently disengaged.

This would not only be handy for larger folks, but would be a real back saver for people who have to strap their kids into car seats, where If the click were a little closer, it would make all of the difference.

       I saw one of these in an airplane. An enormous samoan dude was using it. For some reason his comparably enormous wife was not. He looked more comfortable.
