this ketchup-based skin cream will keep your jewellery looking at its sparkling best. not just for girls but great for the guys to keep all their face-furniture and belly button rings etc as pristine as the day they were purchased.

oils, salts and sweat in your skin can tarnish your jewellery but ketchup is a reputedly brilliant cleaner for metals, (well its always worked for me).

now, would I lead you astray? I guarantee no red faces; my research persuades me that vinegar (a major ingredient of ketchup) activates the circulation and refreshes the dermis; which is nice!

Can I have potato skin ear muffs to go with that?
skinflaps, Aug 27 2004

So you clean your jewellery in-place, on your face, despite the fergusson-effect it causes? Why?
dobtabulous, Aug 27 2004

Another great way to have swarms of wasps following you everywhere.
harderthanjesus, Aug 27 2004

why? because its good for the skin and good for the jewellery.

bwv, no red crusts I promise.

do wasps like ketchup? perhaps reduce the sugar content in the composition then.
po, Aug 27 2004

Best to take out the sugar entirely, it'd dry out the skin and leave you sticky. I wonder what is in ketchup that makes it work like this? It'd be better to find out what it is and add that (and vinegar) to face cream. Coca-cola has the same effect but you wouldn't want to put it on your face. Here's a fun experiment: put some raw meat in coke over night and see what happens to it. Damn, I wish I could stop drinking that stuff.

Great when pigging out on french fries (chips).
FarmerJohn, Aug 27 2004

I don't like ketchup. couldn't you just save time and use a diluted vinegar solution?
schematics, Aug 27 2004

Oh, my mind thought it saw "Ketchup based ice cream"....I had my mouth all set for it.....
normzone, Aug 27 2004

[po], what is a bling fing? I'm so confused.
destructionism, Aug 27 2004

I think bling or bling-bling is a rapper's word for what Red Dwarf's Cat would call his shiny things...

linky for you explains it better.
po, Aug 27 2004

I prefer vinegar.. it keeps my hair nice and shiny.
Cats Whiskers, Aug 27 2004

Would mustard have the same effect? I think that has vinegar in it also. And I prefer it to ketchup. I can't believe bling-bling is going to be added to the Oxford dictionary.

[harderthanjesus]...what happens to the meat when soaked in Coke overnight? Swarms of ants would be my guess...and deteriorated meat?
Machiavelli, Aug 27 2004

The meat is devoured by the cola. If you have a stir fry sized piece of meat chances are it'll be gone.
harderthanjesus, Aug 28 2004

Why call it face cream if you do'nt put it on your face? I had visions of me licking your face!
python, Aug 28 2004

well, it is a face cream but you can use it all over.
faces tend to be more sensitive than elsewhere.
po, Aug 28 2004

       What the?!?!?!?!

I don't think people would like to walk around smelling like ketchup. Nope. Sorry. I can't bring myself to vote for this, though I wont vote against it because the theory is sound. If it is odorless, I will vote yes.
DesertFox, Aug 28 2004

I think you are supposed to wash it off DF.
dentworth, Aug 29 2004

Ya raaasclat Po! I an' I is already usin' de Baarbeue Saauce on me rings and tings! I is well shiny an' go betta wiv ribs.
wagster, Aug 29 2004

       wag, going to carnival?

the ketchup is just the base ingredient of this all-round general cold cream. no need to wash it off, just keep to your usual cleansing night-time regime
