This device would attach to the exterior of an aircraft. After
takeoff it would shine lasers around the aircraft in a way that
would, when in clouds, create the appearance of giant
butterfly wings gently wafting the airplane along.

Would be very pretty. Of course the pilot probably
wouldn't enjoy being blinded, and crashing because he
could no longer read his instruments. |

I have been flying in haze with low light and had to turn
off the anti-collision lights to prevent loss of night
vision. |
