wouldn't it be nice to find an extra little treat hidden away in your easter egg box? either a 'russian doll' second egg inside the first, or a little extra hidden under a false bottom to the box.

       A compass perhaps.

not a bad idea. after eating a large amount of chocolate i always get the urge to look north.
sambwiches, Mar 04 2003

That's odd. With too much chocolate I usually start heading south.

maybe i've been reading my compass wrong. hell, i'm a city boy. what do i know?

       Can’t be for real.....WIBNI.
Shz, Mar 04 2003

[Shz]. Not a WIBNI... Baked. [link]
Kinder Suprise has little presents in their eggs. Sure the chocolate tastes like tarmac scraped off the road, but there is also a cadbury version here in oz called "Yowie". Same concept, cadbury chocolate.

'WIBNI - The idea describes something widely known as desirable, but unobtainable, without giving any new clues as to how it could be done. Ideas that already occur in existing science fiction usually belong here - time travel, stopping time, flying cars, infinite resources.'

what's WIBNI about hiding a little extra treat under a false panel in a box? i could do it right now, if i had a box and a chocolate bar.

reap, it's not supposed to be like a kinder egg or yowie. they are marketed as a chocolate egg with a toy inside. there are lots of products like that - many easter eggs are sold with a bag of sweets sealed inside (i.e. smarties easter eggs in the UK). The point is that this extra chocolate would not be advertised on the box, so you don't know it's there unless you search for it. hence the term 'easter egg', referring to the hidden extras on DVDs.

“Kinder”, which *was* included in this idea prior to modification, is baked, and beginning the idea with “wouldn't it be nice” prompted me to declare it WIBNI. “Can’t be for real” is... I think you’re just pulling my leg. Oh yeah, and there was that furniture part that disappeared too. Mighty large egg don’t ya think?
Shz, Mar 05 2003

ah, you're confusing this idea with [bobofthefuture]'s 'erwachsener eggs'.
sambwiches, Mar 05 2003

Heh. You need to be more indignant when you write that, [sambwiches].
bristolz, Mar 05 2003

i thought i'd forgo indignance and go straight to condescension.
sambwiches, Mar 05 2003

Funny though wasn’t it? I’m still calling it WIBNI – nothing personal [sambwiches].
Shz, Mar 05 2003

go nuts, [shz]. anyway, time for breakfast. i think a big bowl of ice cream is in order.
sambwiches, Mar 05 2003

Go for it! An ice cream sambwich I presume. Sorry, just in one of those silly moods at the moment.

Don't get cocky. You're not [UnaBubba] yet, you know.

       Quelle Tragedie ....
8th of 7, Mar 11 2003

i never meant toys, bliss. my little friendly idea was hijacked by evil hoodlums (god, i love that word) and corrupted into a damn kinder egg. gggrrrrrr.

Maybe, for all you know, this could be baked. There may well be secret treats hidden in Easter Eggs, and the only reason you've never found them is because you haven't looked hard enough.
pottedstu, Mar 11 2003

roll on easter. now i'm curious.
