We'd give you a bun - if you qualified for it. |

The first rule of The World's Most Exclusive Club |

Groucho Marx for the win! [-] |

So, not the kind of club used for whacking someone on the head. OK. |
We suspect you will find that there is in fact
already just one member, and he's
[MaxwellBuchanan]. But being a well brought
up chap, he never mentions it. |

Does a group exist if it has no members? |

//Does a group exist if it has no members?// |
Yes. It is a member of the set of sets that have no
members. |
How about the Tera Society? |
It's the set of solutions to insoluble problems. |
"Damn it! I potted the white ball again." |
I was only given a white ball. |
You do not talk about the World's Most Exclusive Club. |
//Does a group exist if it has no members?//
That would be The Null Set. That is the nickname the members lovingly use to refer to their group. |
Ok, so, I guess, you should add that, in order to serve some non-mathematical purposes, the rule 'all are excluded' would have to be hidden from the general public, and some fictitious large percentile specified, so that some very outlierish people would have motivation to actually fill out the form. It could then serve a practical purpose of collecting information about the people who are closest to being exclusive in the sense specified in this idea. |
Presumably the rules require prospective
members to be Proposed and Seconded by
existing members before they can join? |
Bertrand Russell is the founding non-member. |
//Groucho Marx for the win! [-]//
Obviously, [csea] is confusing Groucho's Set Paradox with Russell's Set Paradox. |
There's your solution, [squeak] and [8th]. Robert's
Rules For Meetings clearly states that: |
"A prospective member's application for membership
should be proposed by an existing member and that
proposal seconded by another member in good
standing, prior to being put to a vote of a quorum of
members." |

There used to be a motorcyle gang around here called the Loners. You have to wonder if they are really serious about that. I mention this becase a gang of loners is like a club without members. |
Maybe they were short on Ses, to sew onto their
jackets? |
The induction packet includes a Rolls-Royce and a house in
Southern France. And it's printed on a recycled Gutenberg
Bible. |
Is there somewhere that I can propose that 'Gang' be declared the official collective noun for 'Loners'? |
