Fiber optic tufts in a saxony carpet transmit light above a programable luminescent underpad to appear as a simple grid.

Weight sensors beneath the underpad contract the lines of this grid to curve inwards around anything on it, moving or stationary, dependent on weight.

Relativety discussions, impromptu sobriety tests and hillarity ensue.
