This is a hybrid waffle tortilla, with the waffle daddy's charming squares and sweetness and the tortilla mommy's flexibility. It would be used for breakfast waffluritos and other such, where the squares would help grab and hold the yummy innards.

Waffle Wraps http://epicurvegan....ple-butter-waffles/
I know that I have had "Waffle Wraps" in places other than just Portland, and with non-breakfasty fillings like Thai Chicken or Korean Bulkogi beef. Waffle cones, too. Aren't those all sort of the same flexible waffle container for hand foods? [jurist, Jun 05 2011]

Crispy pork meatballs in a savory waffle cone w/basil & garlicky buttermilk dressing. Why doesn't everyplace serve tasty appetizers like this? [jurist, Jun 05 2011]

+ For the idea, and the way the idea was written.

I wonder how long it took the inventor(s) of "waffle stomper" shoes to realize they couldn't use real waffles?

Sounds ghastly. Still... Waffle Related = BUN [+]

       [+] Yummy innards!!!!
xandram, Jun 04 2011

[bungston] - exactly of what innards are you thinking? Sweet or savoury?
Or, in other words, are you thinking of those little square dimples in you wafflortia oozing with cheese and bacon? Or with pecans and maple syrup?

       goff, yes

sounds good but I'd be concerned that the w. would break apart when bending it around the innards. as it is I always end up eating my tacos and burritos with a fork.

[grog] I believe the original treaded shoes actually were made with a waffle iron, so I'm not sure they ever did.

       Hmmmmm, waffluritos... I want!

It would be difficult to chew, says the author of burrito banding.

//would break apart when bending it around the innards// Someone needs to learn how to steam a tortilla properly.

I looked at those Portland waffle wraps. Through my drool, I moistly assert that they are not actually wrapped, but two large waffles used to make a sandwich. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
