I have a friend who got a one foot tall 3D replica of himself produced via a scan made in a main street shop outlet. It's quite startling in its detail and realism.
Now that it's possible to get this type of full colour miniature figure made of yourself via rapid prototype output, a number of new
possibilities become achievable, albeit for a fair amount of financial outlay.
One of these possibilities is the creation of a customised chess set that features yourself in the guise of at least one of the characters, and even all of them if desired.
Not only could you be the King, but in different garments would feature as the Queen, Bishops, Knights, Rooks and Pawns, in both white and black versions to play against your alter ego. You could pose with props and assume various facial and limb gestures when getting the scans made, and if you ever became famous or notorious for some reason, the resulting chess set would become a valuable collector's item.

I'll take the first Halfbakery Players set, complete with The Cube and Buchanan Estates' models for castles. [+] |

|
[Jutta] will be Queen - the most powerful piece on the board. |
|
|
All the pawns will be [8th of 7]. |

but I don't think we'd fit on one square. |

Good you vs evil you might be an interesting touch. Horns,
halos, facial expressions etc. |

Ooh a halfbakery chess set... croissants and
fishbones for either the rooks or pawns. |

I wonder which pawn has the highest probability of transcendence? It would have the biggest ego. |

/pawns/ sp: prawns (you know, to go with the fishbones) |
