Camille Santochi <camillecasting@yahoo.com> is a casting associate for a new show on History Channel about inventors. She writes:

"We're looking for ANY kind of inventors that have a working prototype. Our two hosts are accomplished inventors themselves and looking to test out/highlight new inventors and their inventions.

"Right now- we're casting people anywhere in the US. Either we'll fly to them to tape, or we'll fly them out to us in Los Angeles.

"Time wise- the shoot will only take a day and end up as a 15 minute segment. What's in it for the inventor? Major money if the hosts like their idea.

"We're casting over the next month, so tell people to email me as soon as possible."

Camille tells me in email that she's well aware that this site is very much tongue-in-cheek and not exactly working prototype central, but maybe some of you have real inventions that you're working on outside of the halfbakery.

Anyway, if you've got something that you could see benefit from a larger audience (and, presumably, you look interesting on camera), send her email and set up a meeting. (And if you do, let us know how it goes!)

Thanks [Jutta]! (I emailed her in case any of the US N-Prize entrants would be worth considering.)

//kind of inventors that have a working prototype.//

That would seem to be main stumbling block...
