Time-bending clock

This clock can be adjusted to temporarily lengthen or shorten hours.

This would be similar to the Workday Clock, but with a little more flexibility. The time-keeper would be able to adjust the length of the hours or minutes at will (always ending up with a neat 24 hours/day). For example, I have a problem with being late, so I would like time to move more slowly at the front of an hour. By the end of the hour, I'm staring at the clock waiting for my appointment to end. I can imagine this clock being used with great unethical utility for tutoring appointments (in my case), psychiatric visits, or even bar closing times (with longer happy hours!). In order to be really sly, it would be great if one could adjust the clock settings remotely, as with a call from a cell phone or a hand-held remote.

My partner always keeps all the clocks in the house running five minutes fast so that she's never late. If I look at a clock I like to know what the time is *exactly*, so her constant time-fudging drives me crazy. She would love this [+].

For some reason I find this idea less exciting because it's totally impossible and magical. <EDIT> I believe in Futurama the professor once said that the only device known to speed up or slow down the passage of time is a bong. Maybe you should get on that.

I was thinking of this the other day... a clock that says "back in <x> minutes" but that slows down as the time draws near... sorta like perception made real.
