Ticket-taking sound effects

Munching sound for ticket-swallowing machines.

A parking lot I use has a continuously playing voice at the ticket-swallowing machine: "please insert your ticket...please insert your ticket..." and when you comply it says "thank you, please come again". I'd love to hear some chewing sounds in between.

Where else could this be used? Those BART machines could have a single cartoon CHOMP sound.

There was a rash of chatty vending machines a few years ago. One in particular used to scare the bejeezus out of us with "Hello" and " ,, the Real Thing". I think it would be great to have the machine announce in a booming voice "This consumer chose __ Cola!" How mortifying can refreshment be? [reensure, Sep 07 2000]

Y'know, you're right, bear. In reflection, it was really the idea of the spoof on the existing mechanical voice that appealed to me. I wouldn't want to hear any more things talk. So bag the BART idea.
