And a Sony Aibo with a robotic claw and large hammer pulls the phone from the trapped patron and smashes it to little bits. |

About the only thing worse than people receiving cell calls in the theatre/restaurant, is people playing with their ring tones in public. How many times more do I have to hear 'Ode to Joy' (badly) before I break? |

I would favour a seat manufactured by Martin Baker Corp. (q.v.). |
|
|
Alternatively, install the mechanism proposed by Wishy-Washy (played by Gerard Kelly, Brookside fans!) in a panto I went to this year - the seat of the transgressor (in the original format, the person(s) who failed to get up to and participate in the final singalong) would open and a "wee feather would pop up and tickle you on the bum." |

//Punish all those who do XXX// |

I've done XXX once or twice.
But, never in public (or on the HB). |

mmmm, vin diesel does deserve punnishment, if not for that, then for the fact that there will be a sequel to the fast and the furious. |

In terms of punishing all those who do X (as opposed to XXX), the punishment in NYC is now $50. |

Hey [notme]: "The Fast and The Furious" DVD has FIVE HOURS of extra features (or so I'm told). I'm getting it for you for your birthday. You know you want it. |

6 hours of wanna-be gearheads showing off the coffee-can mufflers on their Honda's. Yeah- Fast & Furious DVD is top on my list. (I'm yet to see a hopped up Japanese car that can outpace even the weakest Mustang OR Mini) |

does the beartrap have those painful teeth? |

while i love the concept, and as a theatre producer i would dearly love to have one in my theatre, i think a device which prevents the offender from turning off the phone is problematic: phone keeps ringing until voicemail picks up. under normal circumstances, the person srambles for the phone and silences it after a few rings, thus keeping the noise to a minimum... |

we've all heard of the theaters
considering using cell signal blockers... |
