Is this a weapon, or a mechanism for doing long range darts tournaments? |

If necessity is the mother of invention, is the halfbakery an orphanage? |

The greatest speed and acceleration of the dart is at the time of launch so the explosive would go off then, embedding high-velocity bits of metal and plastic into the dart-thrower's face. Otherwise an excellent idea. |

FUN idea, but the ignition mechanism ( the drag that is produced on the trailing end triggers the charge. ) is far too sensitive for my comfort. |

Electronic delay and control is easily possible,
ensuring the dart will not detonate unless it was
thrown and is still traveling through the air. |
