sideburned%20man The sideburn sizre is an attachment that clips to your ear (illustrations welcome, I might add one this weekend), with a horizontal element (that can be adjusted for height & angle) that marks the line that you want to start shaving from. When your done with one side, simply tranfer it over to the other ear.

Rinse

Voila! No more uneven sideburns.

Coming soon......

       plumbline ear-rings?
po, Mar 18 2005

I'm not going to yield to the current fashion of shaving one's head until I can adjust templates for outline shape and density. Of course, if I wait long enough, it'll be a moot point.
normzone, Mar 18 2005

moot point? your beard? hmmm nice...
po, Mar 18 2005

<top spy tip>you can normally tell the handedness of a male shaver by the length of their sideburns. Right handed people tend to have longer left sideburns because of the extra reach </top spy tip->
neilp, Mar 18 2005

FJ - that looks exactly like me. Thanks
energy guy, Mar 19 2005

       Which half?
FarmerJohn, Mar 19 2005

       the top half..
neilp, Mar 19 2005

Actually - I was gong to say the other half...
energy guy, Mar 19 2005

Can't you just get in the bath, submerge to the desired level, then shave off the wet bits?
DrCurry, Mar 19 2005

       hahaha

oh buggar, I just wet myelf.

       What [Po] said
energy guy, Mar 20 2005

[neilp] I had heard that Top Spy Tip too, but exactly the opposite way around - i.e. that right-handed men have shorter left sideburns, and vice versa.
hippo, Mar 20 2005

[hippo] have you done some sort of psuedoscientific study ? I reckon my left one's shorter if I don't watch out for it. I'm right handed though so don't know if that helps.
neilp, Mar 21 2005

       you're assuming level ears.
sophocles, Mar 22 2005

I'm assuming neilp meant his sideburns.
Basepair, Mar 23 2005

[neilp] Have I done a psuedo-scientific study? Well, I have now - see link. A quick poll of the summaries of all the search results returned for "right-handed shorter sideburn" indicate the correctness of my premise.
hippo, Mar 23 2005

what I mean is that I'm pretty sure that one of my ears is about 1/8" - 1/4" higher than the other, so anything hanging off the ear will be off-level that much too.

then again, i could just be crazy and tilting my head a bit or having glasses that are off a bit.
sophocles, Mar 23 2005

Looks like Po found a sideburn elf

       a smelly one
