Shock Bumper

Isolate and mount bumpers on shocks to absorb crash impact.

Basically, I just said it. Design a car bumper so that it can move somewhat independent of the rest of the car, that is, so that it can be pushed back into the car somewhat without deforming the car. You would have two shocks mounted between the bumper and the frame to absorb small impacts completely, and at least lessen the large impacts.
