Serfdom voluntary

We should recognize a modern serfdom status in the U.S.

The solution for our time! Serfdom!

The Party of Unlimited Government can maintain a registry where the left/progs can apply [and of course they'll be accepted] to become 'serfs'. The registry collective will retain, say, 3/5th of their number for voting and census purposes [I think there's a precedent in U.S. history somewhere] but the serfs will have no further say in public affairs, nor enjoy any of those rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights. Their fates and personal decisions would be administered by an agency devoted to their care built on the worst parts of the IRS, HUD and the VA.

In casting the serfs' surrendered votes, the exact number available will be determined by a random number algorithm of how many couch potatoes would get off the couch to travel to a polling place on a given first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Illegal aliens would automatically enjoy serfdom status but without voting 'rights'.

What could possibly go wrong?

Why not ? It's probably just as good, if not better, than the current system.
