In this competitive version of Tetris, the first player flips and places the pieces as usual, while the second player decides which piece to send, as well as the initial orientation of the piece.
The second players challenge is to pick the worst possible next piece for any situation, in an effort
to sabotage the first player. So now it's no longer possible to wait for a piece you want because it'll never come. The only rule for the second player is that no piece may be repeated more than four times.
The players then switch around and the one who lasts longer wins.

Much better than the existing 2-player versions of Tetris, which just chuck random blocks down your layout when your opponent does some major clearance. |

It would be good if you could influence the skin the shape has, in order to try to distract your opponent. Examples:
1. Nothing but bright, flashing colours - your opponent gives up with a headache, photo-epilepsy or because they become partially, temporarily blind. 2. Suggestive nudity - scramble a picture of some naked people on the blocks, so they picture is only really well revealed if you stack the blocks incorrectly. 3. Same as 2, but with some salacious gossip about minor celebrities instead of nudity. 4. Textual character assassination - try to wreck your opponent's ability to play by making them increasingly despondent or angry. |

I have a version of tetris that allready does something like the first one... each level has its own unique background, each more eye damaging than the last... |

over and over would perfectly screw over the other player, as far as I can tell. Maybe if player 2 had a quota they had to fill? Or if the game would toss in every fourth piece at random? |

Don't ever send them the flat bar. |

The player sending the pieces should get points based on what he/she gives the other player (eg. the bar would be worth more than the left and right oddball pieces), this would force the player to decide between racking up his/her own points and sabotaging the other player. |

Reminds me of a similar tetris-like game,
called skittles: candy crisis. You play
against another player or the computer.
Everytime you get a combination of 4
skittles or more together you give the
other player some worthless blogs that
must be troublesomely dealt with. |
