Inside the 'U', the bottom is lined with rubber so the legs won't scoosh longitudinally while the chair is in motion, the sides inwardly sprout a thick rigid foam rubber to keep them nestled laterally.

Leather buckled lashings are provided which, if need be, can be used to brace the chair while being moved, or during extreme overextension while being used.

The front of each of the ornately engraved beams is capped with carved varnished wood, giving the operator's feet a comfy place to rest if desired, while the bottoms sport full-length rubber strips to keep the floors pristine.

^you seem to have mixed up "halfbaked" and "halfassed".

C'mon Borg, pony up: the U-beams can be magnetized so you can plunk it 'down' on any side of the Cube.

Not limited to chairs either - I'd like to add these to our sofa.

[+] because all chairs should rock. (I mean, all chairs do rock if you sit back and lift the front legs off the ground, but they should rock more easily than that).

       All chairs should ROOOOOOCK!

I know a rook is a kind of dark bird, but I don't know the derived verb.

       Here's a well deserved churn-bun (+)

Put this on quirky.com and you'll get it crowd sourced, become a youtube inventor celeb, and get paid for it too.
