       I think there might be prior art, Milton Arndt in the 1930's quite clearly had knowledge of battery chickens.

       I see a movie plot, where a disgruntled chicken farmer harnesses the power of whole coops of chickens wired together to create a huge static bolt electrical doomsday machine.

       By strange coincidence, I spent part of this last weekend putting an electric fence around my in-laws' chicken field, in the remote hope of keeping out a fox. I christened it Staleggluft III. (I suspect it will only serve to keep the fox in, but time will tell.)
