Step 1: Peel banana.
Step 2: Remove fruit.
Step 3: Fill empty peel with candy.
Step 4: Reseal peel with organic, starch-based glue.
Step 5: Sell for usage at children's parties.
I can just imagine it. Each child's goodie bag has just one banana
in it.
All of the children are disappointed.
But then they peel the starchy
fruit, and to their delight, it's filled with candy! Hurrah!

I like the word play, bananas, piñatas, piña coladas, getting caught in the rain, erm where was I .. but I doubt this is practical.
Poteñtial problems:
- have you ever tried to glue banana peel?
- peel will rot quickly, once open.
- the candy on the inside will be covered in the slippery banana goop that coats the underside of a banana peel. Ick.
- the whole thing will be as limp as a zombie slug. |

Having built exactly one Piñata in my life (and thus clearly an expert), I think that the stiffness of the papier mache contributes to the overall smashing experience. If your banana isn't stiff, it's really not as fun to get the contents out. |

//the whole thing will be as limp as a zombie slug// -
somehow I have the feeling that this would make a good line
somewhere within a Viagra advert. |

I thought this was going to be one of those animal things you hang up in trees for kids to bash the sweets out of, only you keep telling them that they have to wait till tomorrow. |

Yes...the last time I held a zombie slug, I was
thoroughly disappointed it wasn't more...hmmm, shall
we say taut. |

xenzag, the viagra commercial could also quote "If your banana isn't stiff, it's really not as fun to get the contents out". |
|
|
"- the whole thing will be as limp as a zombie slug."
Or a banana slug even. |

Hmm... Halloween trick AND treat! |

The commercial version would be almost realistic paper/plastic/foam container that looks enough like a banana to get the oh! no! sigh! followed by Yes! Yes! effect. |
