This is remarkably similar to this idea (http:// www.halfbakery.com/idea/ MarziMan#975793553), but I'm gonna post it anyway.

According to the above idea, there is sufficient technology to make custom figurines of individual people, but whasisname there thought they would be good made of marzipan. fine, but it'll melt and get all gross if you play with it to much before you eat it. My idea is to have a company that has may certain molds of different tee-shirts, pants, shoes, jackets, etc, and all of these in different sizes and builds. you first order what you want your action figure to wear, and then send in photographs of your head from many different angles. a custom mold is made and your head in miniature comes out, complete with hair. then, you can customize what's written on your shirt, or what pattern, or whatever. Brand names could have special deals with the toy manufacturer.

then, weeks later, the fully poseable figure is mailed to you. It would have to be really expensive, but it would also be really cool. Plus, if you get ones of your kids they can put "themselves' in the ninja turtle battle tank or whatever. also good for voodoo. collect all of your friends! make summer and winter collections! customize yours to have really big biceps even if you don't! Especially if you don't! For additional fees, you could get kung fu action or something. You could order props like guitars (for musicians), sports equipment (for the athletes), your favorite beverage in a miniature keg ( for the drinkers), computers (for the socially inept), or handcuffs (for the bondage freaks).

It's not that this is a bad idea, but....honestly, how often do you play with action figures? Anyway, there's a company out there that already does this. I don't know what it's called, but it costs a load to get a personal action figure done. You're better off being in an action movie by Universal and having them make a toy of you. It'll even include a karate-kick action and a missle launcher! Whoo!!!
