These are pants with extra and stiffer material added to
both
sides, above the belt line, so that the extra material can be
flipped over like a lever, or like one of those hasp things
on suitcases where they lever the suitcase closed, to
tighten the pants.
So no need for a belt.
I am
actually doing this with the pants I have on now because
they are
too big and I hate belts, but the pants could be made to
make it
easier to do.

Ah, trousers. Now it sort of makes sense. |

|
Or, the belt could be a metal band that folds over itself
like some watchbands. Don't get pinched though... |
|
|
Either way could be a poor choice for muffin-tops. |

If the extra material extended up far enough pants could cover the traditional shirt area if need required. Because of the height of these pants suspenders would be unnecessary and they could be affixed fore and aft to a stylish collar to keep them up. |

I think these pants should come with each leg rolled up maximally and the top rolled down maximally. It would look like 3 fabric condoms, one large on two small. Getting dressed would be very fast. |

It is for ideas like this that I think of FarmerJohn and his illustrating abilities. He could beguile us with a sketch of a stylish lady dressed as here described. It has been quite a while since I saw an illustration on the HB. Ah the halcyon days of yore. |

Same thing, hoping for a drawing. |

And by the way, anything with a drawing gets an automatic
bun from me. |
