Doesn't it suck when you use your one call from jail and the number is busy, or they aren't
there? Well, this business solves that problem.
You supply the business with a list of numbers to call; your best friend, your parents, your
siblings, your significant other. You pay a one time fee and
your numbers are filed by your
name. You are given a business card with an easily rememberable number.
When you do wind up in the pokey you call the number and give them your name, where you
are at and who you want them to call. The business calls your number and give them the
info.

Valid point [Aristotle]. In the U.S., an unanswered call doesn't count against you. In most cases, the police will allow you more than one call. |

Simultaneously, I think the market for this service would be fairly small (but possibly well defined). Maybe it should be an ancillary service offered by bail bondsmen or lawyers. |

AA: It's the same here. They have some sort of jail-only collect calling company that charges about $15 for a 3 minute call...even to next door. They're happy to let you make all the calls you want. |
