I think positividy and kindness are going to be growth industries. The web is pretty hate powered these days and I'm thinking the pendulum is gonna swing the other way. Happened in the 60s, very negative time with wars, communist genocides and the generation gap, then came the 70s with Star Wars (the fun kind of war) and disco. I think we're due for that. |

Most problems boil down to finances or can be solved with money, but how would someone solve for me these hypothetical examples? My son is getting bullied at school. My car won't start. I don't like my philosophy instructor. I'm too fat. If the answer is "give advice" how is this different from the many advice websites out there? Are you expecting someone to, say, come to my home address and work on my car for free? Modify the bully's parent's parenting style? Point a gun at me three times per week until I've exercised enough? edited |

Theres an outfit called Better Help that is a shrink-by-subscription service whose ads are all over MSNBC podcasts. They advertise over 25,000 professionals to choose from. No charge to change until you find the perfect fit. Phone calls or video meet. 24/7. I dont know any more about it, but I fear calling in with a minor beef and being a surrogate mothers 3rd job, with 2 toddlers in the hall and one in the oven. As much as Id like to help it would feel like buying real shoes online. |

This remote format for help may not be the best, or even a sufficient, way to actually get some help. It probably could work for some situations. I dont know. I may be way off base here, so if someone has a positive angle on this please post. |
