For those drivers who are persistent in speeding, and generally are a nuisance by reckless driving, jumping lights and tire burning around town, and yet tickets issued by law enforcement agents seem to have no effect....THERE'S NODDY'S DRIVING SCHOOL !

Noddy's Driving School is one day of humiliation. The grounds of the school are landscaped and fabricated to scale of Noddy's town from Enid Blytons vision.

The offending drivers arrive and are uniformed in a red sweater and booties,a pointy beanie hat with a bell on it,a pair of blue shorts and a spotty neck scarf, they are then allocated to take control of a small but up scale model of Noddy's car which has a little petrol engine under the hood and the exterior glossed red and yellow.

After driving around Noddy's Driving School and learning a thing or two they will be escorted out on to the streets one after the other around town in their little cars within the bicycle lanes for all to see, with a chase car complete with flashing lights and a lcd display spelling out the offence on the roof up front. To add to the humiliation cyclists would be able to overtake them and jeer, due to the fact that they can't drive particularly fast and our road abusers would of course be in full view of other drivers and pedestrians.

Next stop if persistent the dark woods and a fine.

       I like that car.

This sounds like far too much fun. It'll probably only encourage people to drive like loonies just so that they can get on the course.

I hate to rain on your UK nostalgia parade here, but isn't this just an elaborate "punish all people who do X" scheme?
krelnik, Jan 22 2003

Well I'm gonna wander off scratching my head, because even though I've got several nieces and nephews of the appropriate ages, I've never run across this Noddy character here in the US.

I believe he used to be on Detroit Public Television. Or maybe it was the Canadian station...

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

IMHO, it isn't. There is already a scheme to punish all people who do x, that isn't part of the idea. This is just a new idea for punishment.

I am shocked that no one has noticed the blatant and huge mistake in the punctuation: 'Noddy' is a name, and his driving school would therefore be 'Noddy's Driving School'. Unless it is a driving school for Noddies (implying that a Noddy is a common noun), in which case it should be 'Noddies' Driving School'.

I leave a fishbone until you correct this.
