O how I wish there were a computer virus that, once unleashed,
could go into html code, 'n' draw a mustache on every face on the
internet. Or, failing that, a mustache on every lip. See reference
video for further detail. Because, after all, we all have a mission in
life.

wibnif. nuf said, no invention. [marked-for-deletion] |

Not wibni, they are specifically describing adigital version on the web in the form of a virus, nothing about targetting billboards. Love this one+ |

I researched facial recogniton and metrics around the turn of the milennium and you can probably just about work the position of an upper lip in a picture with a clear enough face. The relationship between nose and upper lip may be one of the metics used in some systems to reduce facial proportions into a mangeable set of numbers. |
People use this kinds of techniques to create 3D avatars from film and pictures. |
Find the upper lip, the proportions of the face and the angle that face is pointing in then you can probably add a moustache. |
Why is another question, of course ... |
[+] the words "o how I wish" don't necessarily mean a WIB... okay they do, but the post isn't. |
I'm not in favour of it being a virus; I'm automatically against them. But as a fun browser add-on, yes, bring it on. By the way, HTML has no influence over hirsuteness or otherwise of image files, unless you want to propose a new tag. |

<img src="example.jpg" hirsute=["moustache" | "beard" | "goatee" | "sideburns"]> |

And maybe the options could be given parameters so that moustache=1 would be excess nose hair, and moustache=9 would be the full handlebar 'tache, and so on. |
Translation "I wish that someone would make a virus (no mechanism of implementation) that did X. It isn't anything more than a whim. |
Now if it was a virus that removed facial hair from every photo on the net, thennn you'd be onto something. |
gonna change the demographics at porn sites a bit... |

Reminds me of something like bacolicio.us, but with a mustache. could be fun. |
Bun just for reminding me of that episode. |
