(Hmm. That summary needs work)

Recently (for the first time in a long while) I attended a few rock concerts. I was struck my how few performed the ritual 'raising of the lighter in order to encourage an encore'. I thought perhaps it had just gone out of style, but then another thought occured to me: What if people are just smoking less?

Consequently I came up with the idea of a small light that anyone could carry on a keyring or in their pocket. I'm thinking of a small rectangular or cylindrical black plastic body - no larger than a pinkie finger - with a translucent white plastic tip that would light up when a button was pushed or the device was squeezed.

I realize keyring flashlights exist, but I'm not looking to cast a beam of light. I want something reminiscent of the glow of match or lighter.

Search for 'suspiciously' to find the light fantastic <try not to trip>. The loopy rainbow picture would be perfect for encouragement, I think... [StarChaser, Sep 08 2001]

What about glow sticks? They're pretty cool right now. Ooh, wrong crowd.

Pretty much anything of that sort is going to be raver flashies...

Take a look at the link for something that might work well for that.
