Yes, you too can drape your shoulders with a fabric mane of woven hair. Called the most significant breakthrough in weaving since the early 1800 punch-card steered Jacquard Loom, the hair loom creates shimmering, patterned textiles to coif your crown.

Employing techniques similar to a printer peeling off an arc of paper, the loom separates clusters or individual strands of hair as its warp threads. Silk, polyester or metal fibers are tightly woven perpendicular to these threads to create colorful oxfords, twills and herringbones.

Imagine sporting a satin scarf of hair, a hair scrunchie circling a textile ponytail, a gabardine turban rooted to your head, a flowing, folded beard in gold and gray or striped, draped bangs.

Great idea, but I'd go for something a bit more... involved.

Does this attach extensions to your own head hair or weave your existing head hair into fabric?

Not extensions, so-called "hair weaving", but existing hair in one direction and other fibers woven in the other direction to make a fabric.

This could be a valuable item to pass down to your descendants.
