Whatever your favourite spread is, whether it be jam, or peanut butter, or marmite or whatever, they all have one thing in common. There always seems to be enough left at the end to cover at least one more slice of bread and no matter how much you scrape around in the corners of the jar, you can never seem to get at it.

Knives and jars are just not a viable working combination it seems to me.

But lo! Enter stage right the Last Scrapings Knife Attachment set. A series of blade extensions that clip onto your knife to enable you to access those hard to get at corners of the jar.

The set includes extensions to the back and shoulder of the knife blade, to get at the sides that, until now, have been made inaccessible by the neck of the jar and two attachments for the end of the blade; one triangular in order to get at those annoying corners in the bottom and a flattish one for the actual bottom of the jar and for cleaning out the lid.

Who has a rubber spatula at the dining table? This could be so much more elegant.[+]

What you get up to in the privacy of your own home is not relevant to this discussion, [xandram].

No-one has ever addressed the obvious solution to this problem, which is to make a cylindrical jar with a cap at both ends.

As long as there is a Marmite attachment, it gets my vote.

You want to make a knife out of Marmite? How would that work? [xenzag]
