Most bath songs are great, such as the one which the hobbits sing when in the bath at Tom Bombadal's,(excuse spelling) and really no matter what you did you could not make land of hope and glory a bad song. |

No, it's not. It's a request to understand the reasons why. This is a distinction which you just do not seem to understand, Sleepygrass. I think talen fully supports peoples' right to vote as they please (as I do, and did, when you hassled me about this very same thing). He's just hoping for some explanation, that's all. |

Having tried to write one of these things on a couple of occasions and, having been met with abject failure, I have to agree, it ain't easy. |

It's a quite tricky thing to do indeed. Because I know firsthand the challenge involved, I'm usually pretty lenient on anyone who undertakes it. |

I take way too long to write the ones I do, involving mirriam webster's online thesaurus, rhymezone, an open window of the original song, an open textpad window containing all of the thesaurus and rhymezone hits, and a final where I edit the actual song. |

I think what you're up against here is that the subject is a little worn down; people have been there, seen that. Also needs some synonyms here and there to avoid the overused wording deal, like 'baker' in the third paragraph. |

If you want to flaunt that creative side, why not try writing an original song or poem, not based on something pre-existing, which as has been noted has been done a LOT now. |

Tell me what you think about this proposal: I've modified my 'displaced song reference collection' to 'the song page,' with the idea that inventionless songs could easily and neatly captured there, and easily filtered as well by those so wishing. |
