Jello Aerogel
If any gel can be turned into aerogel, then why not Jello? | |
From what I've read of aerogels, almost any kind of gel can be turned into one. Logically, this could be applied to Jello gelatin, producing an extremely low calorie food.
Of course, given the hygroscopic nature of most aerogels, I suspect that chomping on a large piece of AeroJello would dry your
mouth out, but since aerogels are most easily manufactured in thin sheets, that's not a big concern.

What else would you call it? |

because Jello is a powder until you make it! |

zt, Jello is not jelly. It's a brand name of gelatin. Of course, this could be done just as easily with other brands of gelatin besides Jello; for that matter, it could also just as easily be done with jelly. |

You'll need a faster curing process, methinks. |
