Invisible Headphones

For stealth Walkman-listening

A wireless device similar to a hearing aid is worn in the ear. There is a loop of wire plugged into your Walkman (where the headphones normally go). You wear the wire loop discreetly around your neck, and put the Walkman in your inside jacket pocket. The Walkman drives a signal in the wire loop, which is picked up inductively in the ear piece. The signal is amplified and output through a tiny speaker.

No one will know that you’re listening to music. You can listen in school, or in a boring meeting at work.

[ato] No, not like those. The earpieces don’t have wires connected to them. They receive the signal from the wire loop inductively. (Idea edited for clarification)

this totally deserves a croissant! baked!

Baked means it already exists in real life. I've never seen wireless headphones.

But they exist, nevertheless, though I've only seen them for cell phones. (Wireless earpieces for a wireless phone; there's some irony somewhere.)
