No need* to heat; place in the centre of the table cold, and remove the cover. The outer layer of the pudding immediately burts into flame, heating the inner portion to the perfect temperature.
Not suitable for diners of a nervous disposition, or indeed anyone not clad head-to-toe in Nomex.
