When I was a kid, my neighbour built a 4' hollow wooden cube with holes on several of the sides.
Each of us would, in turn, dutifully climb in, and then he would roll us down the hill. As we risked broken limbs etc., we laughed until we wet our pants.
*Sigh*
Such irresponsible behaviour isn't
tolerated these days.
So, in a pathetic attempt to revive the sport, I introduce "Human Craps".
The philosophy is simple. It's just like craps, but on a grander scale, and downhill.
Two volunteers climb into their respective 'dice', and then several strong men set the dice on their way. People bet on the outcome just as they do in the normal game of 'craps'.
Nothing is different, except that two people eventually climb out of the dice with big grins on their faces and big wet stains on their trousers.
Roll da bones

I've seen something very similar in a
current TV advert for some online (?)
gambling thing. Two guys climb into giant
dice with their heads forming one of the
pips, and roll down a hill into a wall. I'll go
ogle. |

[EDIT - Can't find the ad on Google. I may
have dreamt it after too much cheese.
Anyone else? I think it's one of a series of
ads.] |
Just to clarify - the holes way back when weren't meant to signify the dots on the dice. They were much bigger, and facilitated our climbing in. Or falling out. Not sure which. |

[Max] - Sounds like a 118 ad |
You mean the 118-118 directory
enquiries? Maybe - but I don't think so.
I'm sure it was for some gambling-related
site (or maybe TV programme). But in any
event, [+]. |

btw we always seem to be on the HB at the same time. You an insomniac as well? |
Not quite. But I work until 11, so if I want
to get any serious drinking time I need to
stay up late. |

Seems like a fun game, but I vote this the "Most Easy To Misinterpret Halfbaked Idea Title Ever". |
Perfect for "reality" tv. [-] |
Perhaps you could do it in conjunction with a cheese-rolling festival. |
A fun idea, but a serious marketing problem. How about "Human Yahtzee" instead? |
Hey! These dice are loaded! |
Mmm, finally a gambling scheme where the participants can try to alter the outcomes. |
