Hovercraft Hairleg Wheel

Like mosquito legs from a wheel pushing a hovercraft

Like a wire brush but instead of many hairs at each tuft, it has only one long wire at each location, looking like a child's drawing of the sun while spinning.

When the wheel spins rapidly the wires shoot out with centripetal force creating a "wheel" that runs under the hovercraft and steers it or propels it forward.

The hovering vehicle could be a RAM (ground effect) winged plane, a quadcopter, or an air cushion hovercraft, flying over water or land.

Annotation:

The force shooting the wires out would be centrifugal. The force keeping them from flying right off would be centripetal.

[pertinax] your statement is true but it does not contradict [pashute].

When [pashute] says //the wires shoot out with centripetal force// we can parse this grammatically as making two statements:

       1. the wires shoot out (the force causing them to shoot out is not stated but we can deduce it is centrifugal since the wheel is spinning rapidly)

       2. The wires have centripetal force, or rather, centripetal force is a thing that accompanies them; because if they did not possess centripetal force pulling them towards the centre, they would fly away, and we are explicitly told that they create a "wheel", i.e. they remain attached to the hub with centripetal force.
