This device is analogous to Caps Lock, but for car horns. Once you honk, the honk will continue until you honk again to shut it off. Driving with Honk Lock on would be useful for emergencies, when you hit the horn then need both hands to steer the car. One might use the honk lock if you were trying
to signal for help, but wanted to get out of the car to wave a banner and jump around. Honk Lock might also be useful in traffic jams, weddings, etc.

What if you have one of those horns that plays "La Cucaracha" ? |

I don't know for sure, but I suspect it is Baked around here... |

Ha ha ha ha!! I love this idea. I'm one of those anoying people who will use the horn whenever I have a chance (don't blame me, blame the other 21 million people sharing the roads of the biggest city in the world with me). We so much need this! |

I heard they have just closed that Beetle factory down there, so those roads are only going to get more clogged. Unless they open a Mini factory, of course. |
|
|
So many cars already seem to have this already. |

[DrCurry] you are right. They just closed the beetle factory. That is bad news... Mexico was the only country still building them. What will be of us now? I don't think mexicans can afford mini coopers. :( |

Plus, the beetle's horn is louder. |

I am not sure what to say about [reensure]'s "ass-pumping stereo" and "slapping loose trim". Sounds more like a cut-rate porno than a bad driver. |

I recently spent a week in Peru, and I'm guessing that this would go over well there. Taxi drivers in Lima in particular are constantly using their car horns to express frustration, get the attention of potential fares, warn the cars in front of them, and so on. |

So true, and yet too good not to
unleash onto the world. This is so
funny. I may never use this device
but I'd want it. +++ |

I'm surprised by how many croissants this idea has attracted. It panders mainly to the road ragers and would be extremely dangerous. |
