At last, the conflict in Hong Kong can be explained.
It’s not over human rights, it’s who gets to control of
a strategic weapon.
As we all know, Hong Kong has a secure faculty*
which holds the vampires, and the PRC is concerned
about having such weapons of mass destruction**
so close to
its border.
* A wooden temple with very poor security, from the

**Indeed, if the vampires were deployed on the
mainland, given their mode of locomotion they could
depopulate a moderate town in...say...in a millennia
or so.
