Half tickets to the Opera

Like some people, Im sort of curious about the opera, but don't want to commit to a full show. If operas would sell discounted tickets to a single act in the show, it they would probably gain a lot of people who are on the fence about whether to go. Also on the back of the ticket there could be a coupon for some totally differ activity so that the partner who was dragged can do something fun afterward.

Like most events, you can leave when you want to...

I think you can throw things at the opera.

Go to one of the MET's live broadcasts at a movie theatre. No more expensive than a 3D movie, and as [xandram] said you can leave whenever you want.

[rcarty] - You can throw things anywhere. What happens afterwards depends on local rules of social behaviour...

//some totally differ activity // could I have a test drive in a Bugatti Veyron please?

       isn't this a wibni?

//Like most events, you can leave when you want to...// Eagles concerts would be an exception: you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.

Hi Fishy, that's the halfbakery, not an Eagles concert.

Halfway through bungee jumping might be a mistake.

sitcom stereotypes of housewives trying to get their family to watch the opera to be more cultured, I've never even heard of someone going to the opera. Maybe it's the circles I travel in. But good, anyway. Hell, I would like to try singing opera and even I don't want to watch it.

You have now.

Would you give people a random choice of act or would they only be able to see a specific one?

//Halfway through bungee jumping might be a mistake.//

Actually, the half-way point would be OK.
MaxwellBuchanan, Jun 07 2012

Yet Another Half-Idea...? Actually, it is a widely known marketing practice: giving samples and trials.
Inyuki, Jun 07 2012

// You can throw things anywhere.// No you can't. Some places have more restrictions than others, like under a large waterfall or facing into highwinds.
