Hi -
This one is really neat. You can buy off the shelf teeny video cameras with built in Flash memory, ready to take 50 or more pictures at the press of a button.
So, why not a glass eye-cam? Obviously it needs to beep when it takes a picture, for legal reasons.
Internal induction charged
battery, and optical upload/download powered from the induction charger.
Having Flash memory means that even if the battery goes flat it won't lose its pictures.
Picture taking is triggered by either a keyring remote, external slave flash, or (on the more expensive units) blinking in a specific pattern that can be configued by the user

Assuming this is a hidden camera, where is the "external slave flash" hidden? In a false ear? You just turn your head so you're looking at your subject out of the corner of your (false) eye and **Fooosh!** goes the ear... |

So I'm walking down the street the other day and this really wierd gigalo looking guy walks up to me with one eye looking to the right and the other pointing straight at me. All of a sudden he just beeps, his ear ring flashes and his lazy eye clicks. It was bizarre. |

Why should it be a camera solely for taking pictures? Scientists are already able to hook cameras to the brain in a very limited fashion, and it shouldn't be long before the technology is miniaturized enough to fit in an eyeball-sized area.
The camera could provide a video feed to the brain to imitate the use of the lost eye, and then switch into picture mode, or a recording mode at the touch of a button. |
